Ok, So Maybe I was wrong about Ole Miss
Oops… looks like I may have been a little premature with my prediction of 8-8 for the rebels. After a pair of 3-point losses to Auburn and South Carolina it looks like they could be sitting at 6-10 at the end of this season.
Here’s a rundown of the rest of the end of Andy Kennedy’s SEC debacle after his undefeated non-conference (providing an escape from Presbyterian next week).
2/09 @ Arkansas – Loss. 3/4 losses for the Rebs have been on the road, and the Hogs are playing tough in the Basketball Palace of Mid-America
2/13 @ Alabama – Loss. The road will remain a problem for the rebels, They might end the season with no true road wins.
2/16 Auburn – Win. Congrats… the 3 game SEC skid will end when the Terrible Tigers come to town.
2/20 Miss. St. – Loss. Unlike their state rivals, Mississippi St. will still be playing for something as they will be doing their best to hold on to a first round bye in the SEC tournament.
2/23 @ LSU – Win. This could be a road win for the rebs, but so far they have not been able to win close games with a crowd heckling them.
3/01 Bama – Win.
3/04 Arkansas – Loss. The hogs are too talented for the Rebels.
3/08 @ UGA – Loss.
Bringing their final record to a respectable 7-9, but without a monster 3 game run through the SEC tournament, the Rebels will be hosting a few games in the NIT.
SEC Power Poll coming following the games this weekend.
Quick Weekend rundown
Kentucky over Bama
Florida over Georgia
Tennessee over LSU
Vandy over South Carolina
Arkansas over Mississippi
Auburn over Mississippi St. – reaching, but I gotta pick one upset.
