It appears to me that Fulmer has lost his fire, and has been going through the motions for the last few year to keep collecting a pay check (a very good one). We have been in a slow slide to mediocrity for years, and a new coach is needed to re-energize the program.

Volunteer faithful who believe it is time for a change should not be afraid to say so, and are far from being turncoats or “fans”. Ignoring a problem, avoiding any discussion of the issues, and blindly supporting the program does not address the problems and will not make things better. We need to take a hard look at program, recognize areas that need improvement, and evaluate all possibilities for improvement (popular or not).

My opinion is that a change is needed. Not being God, I recognize that I am not all knowing and could be wrong. I hope I am. I continue to support the team, and wish that we will have a 2008 season that will make all Vol fans proud. If we do, I’ll proudly admit being wrong. If we don’t, I hope those who refuse to admit we have a problem will accept the need for a change.
