Obviously the Bammeroids and the Saban Nation want Fulmer gone. Why? He owns Bama. Sure he got his big ass spanked this year, but it is hard to beat Bama and the refs in the Ghetto of T-Town (high 5 Red Elephant Club!!).
He has the highest winning % of any coach with tenure over 10 years (currently 76%).
- Record of 93-32 in SEC play (74%)
- Under Phil the Vols have 11 seasons with at least 9 wins (15 years)
- Under Phil the Vols only have 2 seasons with at least 5 losses
- Finished first (or tied for first) in SEC East 7 times, 2 SEC titles.
Let’s compare that success to what Tennessee did the 15 years prior.
- No national titles
- Winning percentage of 67%
- SEC record of 53-32-3 (62%)
- 7 seasons with at least 9 wins
- 6 seasons with at least 5 losses
- 2 SEC titles (no division titles back then)
Oh yeah, he has a National Title…even if it is a bit old. Anybody still have Bill Battle’s number handy?

You are mistaken. I would looove for Fat Phil to stay there as long as his dough nut-glazed encrusted arteries will allow him to. He is the personification of everything I loathe about Tennessee and beating UT wouldn’t be the same if he were not there.Each of the three wins against him in the past seven years have been some of the highlights of my personal football experience. Keep Phil fat and happy in Knoxville!

Do you think Saban stays past 3 years if he ever has any success?
Fulmer’s record against the Tide is 10-4-1. Saban will high-tail it out of Tuscanasty after they finish 6-6, 7-5, and maybe 9-3 over the next three years, most of that time being spent in the finer gentleman’s clubs in Shreveport.
I want Fulmer to stay.
Let Fulmer stay. As long as he stays, I don’t have to worry about Tennessee competing for another national title.
