Bammeroids tally up another arrest. Nick Saban, I know you read this blog, I highly recommend that you institute the very effective “ridealong” program being in used Knoxville. If you hurry, you can pass Tennessee off of the field too.

TUSCALOOSA – University of Alabama football player Rashad Johnson was arrested early this morning on a charge of disorderly conduct, according to Lieutenant Tommy Reed of the Tuscaloosa Police Department. [AL.com]

Yes, pushing a guy in a bar = a 5th alcohol offense hit and run, weed possession with recruit present, etc.
The truth is, if he wasn’t black or a football player, he wouldn’t have even got a citation.
On a side note, “Bear Died for my Sins” is pretty damn funny.
Rashad needs to meet Robert Dozier.

Just saying that a trumped up charge cannot hold a candle to your Vols off field transgressions. Elder put us in the race, but this is a BS arrest. If we’re going to pass you off the field, I say go big or go home.
I would not play football in tuscaloosa, as a black man….

I know you kid, but TPD is about the worst when it comes to stuff like this. White kids don’t seem to get in trouble for the same thing.
However, white kids get their share, too, just in the form of hassling underage drinkers. Shocking that there would be kids like this in college, I know, but that’s where the PoPo hits whitebread.
The good news is that theft and rape cases continue to go unsolved or deterred b/c the police are busy hassling college kids for drinking (or black kids for having the audacity to be on the strip). See, solving real crime would be hard and not bring in that coveted MIP money. Way to keep those priorities straight, TPD.
7,
Wasn’t there two armed robberies solved recently? TPD is doing a hell of a job.
SI paints a slightly more robust story of the fight

Yeah, we had a player get arrested. I believe the vols have had eight players arrested in the last three months.
