I get so pissed….
Read this crap from that was sent in by one of those Hollywood Movie Star Left Coast California people [Wizard of Odds], it just made me really angry, pissing my pants angry [Link]:
The producers of the horror thriller “Shelter” have fired a casting director who put out what they say was an insensitive casting call for extras with unusual features to appear in a scene set in a “West Virginia holler.”
The casting call from Donna Belajac Casting of Pittsburgh prompted an outcry from West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin and others who said it stereotypes West Virginians as inbred and carnival sideshows.
I wouldn’t judge the school by how ill-mannered some of these fans are while sitting behind their computer in complete anonymity. I’d judge it only by the real alumni and fans you see and meet in Morgantown and at the various game venues. A lot of posters on the message boards and blogs have nothing to do with West Virigina (or some of the SEC Schools) whatsoever and couldn’t care less about how the school is perceived by others. The people who have a vested interest in the school do, like me!
It’s easy for some people to be disrespectful to others when they don’t have to account to anyone for it and some can be especially insulting, especially if they know a Big East Conference fan is reading, posting or commenting on this blog.
Just remember that you being a known person may just be too tempting a target for some types. But since, like most of us, you are obviously here to enjoy the football fellowship, the insults should be just like water off a duck’s back. I have made a lot of good friends on here and in person and the gameday atmosphere can’t be beat.
