Sorry for the self-indulgent post but the best girl ever and I are back safe and sound from the games in DC and God are we drunk. In case you SEC Homo’s have not heard, we beat Duke. While Kentucky loses in the first round (they should’ve been in the NIT), Vandy sucks, the precious Vawls struggle with American. The Big East is the best and as soon as you fellas figure that out and accept it, the sooner you can make peace with yourselves.
How freaking crazy is it that we ended up playing in our back yard? No way we could have afforded it with the associated travel costs. Dumb luck works both ways eh?
We owned the place. We were loud and obnoxious and totally shouted down the nearby Duke people. I think they we afraid.
We were just flat loud–I mean loud! I’ve been to a bunch of Georgetown and Wizards games in that place but today was by far the biggest noise. When they started chanting “let’s go Duke” or whatever late in the game we completely drown them out.
But I must say that the Duke cheerleaders were really hot. That back-flip situation they did was unreal. I’m typing fast so my girl doesn’t see this, but wow
We made a great impression on the locals, I swear on my heart that an usher gave me a big hug when we scored early in the game as we were entering.
Props and props to the faithful in section 216 just above us, you ruled!!!!
Been doing this stuff for 40 years. No day better than this. Except beating Georgia and Oklahoma in football of course.

First off Duke has been overrated all year, mainly because the are Duke. I mean seriously What has duke done in the last 2 years.
Second, The Big east is the Best? Pretty sure the SEC has owned BB and Football National Championships the past two years. But if beating an overrated Duke makes the Big east the best, i guess you are right.
Third. Notre Dame, UConn, Pitt, Georgetown, Marquette
