Received this by email tonight. I can’t vouch for the validity. I was told that it was addressed to the owner of a premium Vols Site. I deleted their names because one of them is a huge dope smoking pussy and thinks he owns the internet.

XXXX and Asshole
I occasionally read your site and I’m shocked that you haven’t written a story about what happened with the basketball team at the end of the year.
In case you aren’t plugged in, here’s what really happened:
Jordan Howell had some serious words with Bruce Pearl about his play and based on that conversation, Jordan’s attitude toward the team began to sour. He also began making negative comments during practice, which eroded certain aspects of team morale and led to less minutes and ultimately zero in the final game of the tournament.
In addition, you never wrote an article about the fist fight that occured during practice and led to both Brian Williams and Ramar Smith both being benched during the first half of a tournament game. Everyone on the team knows this is a fact and happened. Bruce, being the master of the media, did a great job of covering it up and saying that there was no suspension, when indeed there was.
In addition to those two nuggets, due to the fight, many of the players had a tough time playing with each other during the tournament and it certainly impacted their play. I find it hard that someone so connected to the program would have trouble uncovering the facts around the late season stumble.
There’s no question point guard play was a huge factor in our loss, but the two events outlined above had a greater impact.

The Truth Hurts

Theres always a few rotten turds around that stink everything up.

Jordan Howell never had enough talent to play in the SEC much less at the NAIA level. He was there because he displayed some spunk to Bruce Pearl. Once he made it onto the court he must have felt that he was privileged.

Good riddance Jordan Howell.

The excuses have begun. Don’t worry, UT is a basketball (women’s) school.

3. GatorBait - March 28, 2008

Crawl back under your rusted-out pickup trucks up on blocks and await your He15man beatdown in September.

4. vw - March 28, 2008

Poop-
You dont know if that is factual or not and his jr year JH contributed to the team. His sr year wasnt quite as good.. but no reason to lambaste the guy

5. Graves - March 28, 2008

I read that on another site. If you talk about players on that site, then they call you a scumbag. You must pump the sunshine.

They also hate white people. See Dane Bradshaw, Erik Ainge, Jordan Howell, et al…

Austin Rogers will be the next true whipping boy this year.

6. zigzag - March 29, 2008

What a load of shit. Tennessee just got their ass beat by a far better and more prepared team. Making excuses now puts you in the sorry ass loser category.

7. Jai Eugene - March 29, 2008

Zig, I agree with you. Just ran into a better prepared more motivated team…it happens.

Taliban (Bama Cheats)

I should have prefaced this with the Tennessee Tailban disgruntled fan. They are beginning to turn on Pearl like they have done with Fulmer.

8. Jai Eugene - March 29, 2008

And yes Graves, Austin Rogers is the next Howell, Ainge, Karl, Bradshaw. The hate never sleeps

How come you can’t admit that about 41-17? The same definitely applies.

I’m not certain why you even post on this site… Every post is either spent bitching or being delusional, like the post above me.

11. MoonDog - March 29, 2008

This is the first I’ve heard this. If all of this was true, you’d think something would have been said prior to now. I doubt all of those alleged incidents was the cause of the Vols loss to Louisville though.

The Cards were just better and deserved to win.

12. zigzag - March 29, 2008

SEC basketball = Big Ten basketball = FAIL

13. Jim - March 29, 2008

I do not understand the email. Did you claim to be a UT insider? Is the emailer claiming UT would have done better without the fight? Who fucking cares? You lost. You let the SEC down. Now go support the only thing you are good at (women’s basketball) and prepare for your annual beating from UF in football. Failboat indeed.

14. Jim - March 29, 2008

I apologize for my last post. For the first time in my life, I supported UT. I liked their team. cheered for them against memphis. And then they dropped a big fat deuce. I was angry and dissappointed. I think God was trying to remind me that UT will always suck and to never support them. Thanks God, lesson learned.

15. zigzag - March 29, 2008

For God’s sake get a grip Jim, it is absolutely essential that you support the Vols against the Tide Rollers, unless, of course, you are a member of the $abanite clan. Rest assured that God will not forgive you for supporting the Bammeroids.

16. Jai Eugene - March 29, 2008

Jim is a gate.

I am beginning to believe that Sad State is the Big Bammeroid with the Bear Tat on his back.

17. poopliquor - March 30, 2008

Jim, where the fuck was your school’s team? Your team let the SEC down, not Tennessee. At least they made it to the sweet sixteen this year you dumb schmuck fuck.

19. LL - March 30, 2008

poopliquor:
How in the fuck can you say that UF let the SEC down? UF is a team filled with Freshmans and Sophomores playing with each other for the first time. They just lost their top 6 scorers from last year’s team - the same team that won back-to-back National Championships. There were NO expectations on this Gator team. No one expected them to make the Big Dance. Hell, the fact that this young team won 20 games was surprising.

On the other hand, Tennessee was EXPECTED to win the SEC and make it further than just the Sweet 16 this year but they didn’t. Idiot.

calethes = the sherminator

21. LL - March 30, 2008

Jai:
Calathes is just the next in line of Gator BBall players that are hated by other schools (a la Matt Walsh & Joakim Noah). He’s a great player, but I really hope he does something about the Growing up Gotti hairdo before next season.
