Crimson Caravan

Bammeroid Boosters and Logan Young wannabes [Saban to Dothan].  Please close your eyes, touch yourself in that special place as you imagine that I am a Memphis High School recruit, I run a 4.4 40, bench 225 30 reps, 6′ 4″, rocket arm and seek to inflict physical contact on anything that wears Under Armour  (or has some outlandishly large”out of this world” ears), and my high school coach is selling me.

Now send me 100 dollars so that I can attend the Crimson Caravan!!  Like any good bammeroid, I am for sale.  I want to meet Lil Bear, have my photo taken, and for your pleasure, I will wear the Bammeroid Crown of Thorns….a Houndstooth Ball Cap. [Tickets]

Dear Jai Eugene:

I’m pleased to announce that this spring the Athletic Department will join the University Administration and National Alumni Association in launching the first-ever Crimson Caravan, featuring talks by University and Athletic Department officials, including head football coach Nick Saban. The Caravan will be stopping at the following areas on the following dates:

(actual event site in parenthesis)
Tues., April 22 — Mobile/Baldwin County (Fort Whiting)
Thurs., April 24 — Dothan/Montgomery/Panama City, Fla. (Dothan Convention Center)
Tues., April 29 — Pell City/Birmingham/Gadsden/Anniston (Talladega Super Speedway)
Thurs., May 1 — Huntsville/Florence/Muscle Shoals (Von Braun Civic Center)
Tues., May 6 — Atlanta (Cobb Civic Center)
Thurs., May 8 — Tuscaloosa (Bryant-Denny Stadium)
Tues., May 13 — Meridian, Miss. (Frank Cochran Center)

Joining us at each stop will be the Crimson Tide cheerleaders, Big Al, and members of the Million Dollar Band. Each Caravan stop will be a festive occasion and we look forward to seeing you when we come to your area. The local Red Elephant Clubs are serving as hosts with assistance from the National Alumni Association and the Crimson Tide Foundation.

The cost for each event is $100 per ticket, of which $50 is tax deductible. (Also, for each ticket purchased, you will receive five points in the Tide Totals points program.) Monies raised from each event are designated specifically for academic and athletic scholarships.

We hope to see you at one of our Caravan stops this year!

Roll Tide,

Mal Moore
Director of Athletics
