Okay, nobody is talking about this moment but it’s driving me crazy. Right after Simon says “It was like sort of coming out of karaoke hell into a breath of fresh air because …” and Simon got such a smile on his face he couldn’t say anything else, then David smiles, and lets out this litle yell while still on camera, and then he lets out a big yell but the camera goes back to Simon so we never see his face! I’m really surprised nobody is talking about this because it’s just incredible. It actually makes me laugh like crazy, hearing him yell with joy like that, because he’s so happy that Simon finally gave him his due!
The positive energy in that theater at that moment was incredible! Simon really knows how to work a crowd in his own way, doesn’t he?
If you play that part back really slowly, you can tell for sure it’s David’s voice screaming! I knew it couldn’t be anyone else, but since the camera goes back to Simon I ended up feeling unsure and then when it goes back to David he’s quiet. Anyway, it’s just priceless.
Could it have been someone else’s voice? I doubt it.
Maybe I should call it the “yell of satisfaction” because that’s what it was!! Of course that sound reminds me of something else too, and because of everything that went on here a few days ago, it’s just too funny.
I JUST LOVED IT!!! What a performance! Great singing, plus all the joy and the tears together … it was so touching.
David loves it when Simon gives him praise so much. I’ve never seen anyone look so happy and emotional at the same time. I honestly think half his tears were because he finally got the “love” and approval from Simon he craves so much (after enduring yet another week of silly “pompous” criticism from Simon last week). The other half of his tears were because of his brother being there. What an emotional night!
The phones were jammed the whole 2 hours. Amazing! Just like my decleating of Major Wright, LOL.
David, I hope you watched me on ESPN. I was playing for you!!

I like to think of myself as a reasonably intelligent guy with a fair sense of humor. However, I am just not seeing the Tebow-Idol thing. Is it because spring practice is too boring to write about? Do not feel like writing an off-topic about baseball?
I am so opposed to this recurrent theme on the site I am willing to “frame” a walk on at florida with marijuana possession in order to make it stop. (and by “frame” I mean take credit when the inevitible happens three weeks from now). Think it over.
