Tebow Drives: And now, Tim Tebow, the golfer.
Florida coach Urban Meyer confirmed he saw his Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback recently at a charity golf event drive a golf ball 370 yards. It was the first time Tebow has picked up a golf club.
“It had a nice little draw to it,” Meyer said. “Usually, a maniac hits a ball that hard as a slice. He (Tebow) could be a tremendous golfer if he worked at it.
“He swung – agggggg – as hard as he can. And the ball was going agggggg! It was something.”
370 yards seems like really far away…even for the Tebow. Like for all of his penis snipping or dancing with Kenny Chesney or kissing Joiner, surely there must have been a camera nearby to capture this special moment.
Rumor has it that in an effort to save his job, Fulmer asked Meyer if the Gates would have a closed scrimmage with the Vols in an effort to give ole Rocky Top a punchers change going into the season. Meyer showed up with only Tebow dressed out. Due to Tebow going into a prevent defense late in the game the Vols managed to avoid a shut out, losing 56-6. It could’ve been worse but Tebow ran a ball control offense to start the 2nd half.
