The Discovery Channel to air a special on the Logan Young Suicide Salad [Commercial Appeal]. In honor of this we bring you the the Alabama football creed:
We believe that this is a delusional world and that we can talk only about what Bear did. Therefore, we believe in the past…the really faraway distant past of when players wore knee high tubesocks.
We believe in education, and though we did not technically attend the University of Alabama, I promise you we know someone who did.
we believe in honesty and truthfulness, because when the punishment for possession of marijuana is ice cream, there is no need to lie. Pass the sprinkles
we believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid. well, maybe just a little afraid of the aggresive Nutria from Louisiana
we believe in obedience to law, except the ones concerning money laundering and the trafficking of human beings, because those laws hinder Bama recruiting.
we believe in the human touch, even if we have to pay for it at seedy Pensacola strip clubs.
we believe in our country because it is a land of freedom, and, where else on earth can a coach suspend a player (DJ “Throat Slash” Hall) for a game but it ends up being 2 quarters cause we are losing and need help….quick(remember the Nutria from ULM?)
we believe that Alabama Football is more important than anything, including 9/11 or pearl harbor cause Saint Nick said so.
Only at the State of Alabama’s Flagship University can we have an homer analyst with three DUIs and an income tax evasion conviction and our soon to be sainted Head Coach says, “He is a great Ambassador for this University”. (Orlando Sentinel)
and because Alabama men and women believe these things, we believe in Alabama football, Marlboro Reds (in a box), jalapeno chili burgers, our Messiah’s crown of thorns and old milwaukee and love it,,,,when we are winning.
