It was very funny [Cowherd Podcast]. Uhh…don’t you have to beat the Louisiana-Monroe Fighting Nutria to be the most powerful coach in sports?…Don’t you have to beat your in-state rival to be the most powerful coach in sports? Is Fulmer and Tubberville really Bama’s daddy?
The Roids got caught cheating and you’ll flail around aimlessly while blaming Phil Fulmer for it. Yeah, Fulmer ratted you guys out. No argument there, but he never would have had anything he could have used were Alabama not to have been caught cheating themselves. Blame Fulmer all you want but it is Bama who willingly put herself in that position and for Bama fans to whine and cry about anything else is just laughable. Yeah, such victims, maybe you guys shouldn’t have cheated in the first place?

No Bama fans blame Fulmer for probation. Bama fans know we cheated and were punished. The problem we have is the hypocrisy of these “holier-than-thou” UT fans who have the gall to call Bama cheaters when both programs have been caught cheating as well.
Bama fans also have a problem with the fact that Fulmer’s team was also named in the Means case, but Kramer and others came to Fulmer and basically cut him a sweet deal to rat on Bama. It sucks that yall seem to forget this (not to mention the old lady in Mobile giving $ to Tee Martin) and proclaim that “Bama Cheats” all the time.

Nah, I think I summed it up better, Jai, UT cheats, they’ve just never been punished for it. Could be because it happened on Kramer’s watch so they were under his protection, could be because Fulmer always seems to give the NCAA dirt on other programs when they come snooping. Who knows? Oh well.

I get confused… Did the albert means/logan young incident put uat on probation or is that what happened while uat was already under sanctions for cheating? With so much cheating in such a little time period I get the incidents of buying humans mixed up.

Brent Beard of Rivals — who is one of the best out there — said flat-out that other coaches in the SEC knew that Dubose/Bama had some shady dealings going on. Some of those Coaches even contacted Dubose directly and basically said “hey, we’ve been hearing some things and you might want to stop because word is getting around.” One of these coaches was Spurrier. He sent Dubose a letter. However, one SEC Coach made it personal and reported Bama to the NCAA. That Coach is Fulmer.
As SSA notes, the timing of all these events is very suspect.
But hey, no one is disputing that Bama cheated and got caught. That case is closed and they paid their dues.
