Brent Beard of Rivals — who is one of the best out there — said flat-out that other coaches in the SEC knew that Dubose/Bama had some shady dealings going on. Some of those Coaches even contacted Dubose directly and basically said “hey, we’ve been hearing some things and you might want to stop because word is getting around.” One of these coaches was Spurrier. He sent Dubose a letter. However, one SEC Coach made it personal and reported Bama to the NCAA. That Coach is Fulmer.

As SSA notes, the timing of all these events is very suspect.

But hey, no one is disputing that Bama cheated and got caught. That case is closed and they paid their dues.

@26 No. No, your wrong. Bama fans DO blame Fulmer, uat fans aren’t mad or embarrased that they cheat(ed) – they are sore that they got caught and needed a scapegoat to deflect the real issue. Much like you continue to do.

yeah, Bama is even stronger… hence the meltdown at the end of the season vs. ULM. Its okay though, every country has their own 9/11, we just have to learn to accept that it takes tragic moments to bring about real change.
