Tim Tebow (CFB’s version of Tom Brady) joins Herban Meyer on Bill Bellichick’s [link] Christmas card mailing list after defending Herban’s decision to run up the score.

As much as I think that Tebow is one weird dude (penis modification professional), technically he’s correct in his assessment of how offense and defense are suppose to work. It’s the defenses’ job to stop their opponents from scoring. Thus defeating the premise of the theory of “running up the score.” It is their *job*. These players got babies to feed, baby mommas that need to go to the grocery store so if they don’t do their *job* then people don’t get paid and ultimately they don’t eat.
Again I will play devil’s advocate: I know that I would have never run up the score, but the cynical part of me realizes that with the shitty BCS coupled with Meyer’s lack of a solid Values system, a touchdown could be the determining factor as to whether or not a team plays for the National Championship.
But Tebow’s statement made me LOL:

To hear representatives of the University of Miami, the same school that once beat up on weaklings and jammed their crotches in people’s faces while doing it, whining about RUTS is like hearing Belicheck complain about people taping the Pats’ practices.
As for keeping people out of jail, Tebow meant “by providing a good example,” not whatever weird twist you choose to put on it.

In the week prior against Charleston Southern, Miami went for it on 4th and 3 with about 4 minutes left and leading 45-7. They then scored a TD with 2:33 left in the game to make it 52-7.
Yet Randy Shannon gets upset the very next week because UF kicks a late FG.
Enough already. It’s been a week and the fact that anyone would try to gripe about another team being “classless” against “Da U” is ridiculous.
Travis Henry doesn’t have a drug problem, Jamal Lewis never sold coke, and Britton Colquitt never drove drunk.
LaMarcus Coker however, is a stand-up guy.

And with the whole drama over “not beating a cupcake with alot of points, or you drop in the standings.” why not do that?
Shannon is just mad because Meyer didn’t give a reach around.
Winning breeds contempt. Maybe Herb will take a knee with 7 minutes left with a 28 point lead over UT to be nice.
