“It just walked out the door.”

“You talk about tradition, about winning, about a family… well that just walked out the door.” (paraphrased) -Ramon Foster

The press conference (we will link once it is available) has made the University of Tennessee look cold and heartless.  I don’t know how much I agree with Berry and Foster being allowed to speak on behalf of the team with such loaded emotion, but it is obvious that Tennessee is a family, and the Battle Captain is their mentor and leader.

Who knows where Tennessee goes from here.  Hopefully these recruits will see how much of a family these players are, and they will be welcomed as the next class of Volunteers.

If I see one person dancing around and gloating about the firing of National Champion Head Tennessee Football Coach Phil Fulmer, I will drop the people’s elbow from the top rope right onto their scrotum.

Good luck to Fulmer in whatever (Clemson) he does next.

You guys fucked up big time!! You took a loyal (Majors backstabber though he may be), well connected alumni who did a reasonable job in the toughest conference in the country and you flushed him.

And you were stupid enough to give him a new deal the year before you did it!!

Yes he was slow to adapt to change, yes he was only an adequate recruiter, yes this would have happened a lot sooner if not for Cutcliffe, but the bottom line is that one of two things will now happen and you are not ready for either one of them.

    A) You hire a big name coach with no connections to the University and deal with all the issues associated with that decision. (I hear Petrino is interested).

    B) You scour the corners of America for someone with ties to the school that will be a suitable replacement for Phat Phil. (I wonder if Heath Shuler can coach?).

Either way, the reality is that you can’t please the big money boosters and the rednecks at the same time. You will now enter that evil zone of meaninglessness where you will be a perennial SEC East bottom feeder. You will routinely be abused by the likes of Vandy and Kentucky, and the big dogs will see you on the schedule in the preseason and mentally chalk up an automatic win and move on to more pressing concerns.

Every few years, you’ll rise up and ambush an unsuspecting SEC foe who is looking past you, but the glory days of Tennessee football (like the echoes of Rocky top) are long gone already and they will not be resurrected.

I could go on and on, but I have a feeling that most Vol fans are already resigning themselves to these truths as I write this. Just like in the dark days of Alabama football, many Vol women will “run into” many “trailer doors” tonight.

Aside from the inevitable rash of Krispy Kreme/Dunkin’ Donuts bankruptcies and unemployed pastry chefs in Knoxville, get ready for a huge spike in Meth use, overflowing battered women’s shelters and 5 or 10 new suicide prevention hotlines by the end of next season.

Your complete descent into delusional psychosis will be when you emulate the denizens of West Virginia and begin burning your living room furniture on a regular basis….

    LMAO…

    Yeah, listen to the Dawg…

Because Jawja surely knows what they’re doin’…

Remember, they hired Richt due to his success against callin’ plays against the Gates while at FSU…

Look how that turned out for them…

@2 Shut the Fuck Up. UGA was no. 1 when the season started–that right there is reason enough to play for the NC. Just like Richt said last year UGA should have played in it instead of LSU.

@3 – Uf just called their last time out…

UGA is clear to leave Jax now as Meyer has taken his foot off your throat…

4–the loss to Herban doesn’t hurt as bad after watching UGA get all throwed off.

One of the Georgia fans wrote on the AJC Message Board – “I would rather lose like this, than win the way that Florida did. No class.”

Oh really, MF’er. Your Coach planned ahead and sent his entire team out to dance last year and the cameras caught him smiling and laughing about it on the sideline.

Then Urban calls 2 late timeouts to let Moody (a UF Fan favorite) get a couple more carries and to let his team enjoy every second of winning a rivalry game and that’s “classless”?

Speaking of no class, how about the Sun Sports cameras picking up Richt flicking Meyer the bird after that last timeout and looking up to see that the camera caught him with that deer in the headlights look.

Hmmm…. or maybe that guy was saying that it was classless for all of us Gator fans to cheer the UGA TD in garbage time because there were no UGA fans left in the stadium to cheer for them? Yeah, that’s probably it.

Really dude, you think that was crude?

I read this blog because Jai is a pretty funny dude, and for awhile, it was entertaining to see if “Angry Eer” could smoke any more meth or get any more delusional that he already was.

I understand that you’re probably hurt and confused by recent events, but big time programs go through big time changes.

It’s time for you to understand that by firing Fulmer, Tennessee foot ball is now. just. irrelevant.

Find that man. You tell me who freakin’ said that and I’ll strip every thing red and black from their home. That’s retarded. I’d love to see UGA beat UF by 50 and call 3 timeouts in the last 15 seconds in order to score one more time and then see the entire UGA bench celebrate in the endzone and have them dump the poweraide cooler over Meyer, not Richt.

Hating UGA with UGA losing is one thing, but hating UGA and UGA winning is freakin’ awesome. Losing to UF sucks. It will suck all year. Winning or losing to GT will make no difference and will not pacify. Whatever voodoo Ole Miss has, I want it cuz UF pees their pants at the site of hotty toddy. For whatever retarded reason, when UF sees UGA, they see a JV team and UGA unjustifiably sees the NFL All-time All-Madden team. Dumb.
