Hi, this is my first blog post on LWS. Thanks for having me Jai. I am considered to be somewhat of a well-respected “insider” in UT athletics. Especially in regards to recruiting. Frankly, I get tired of the Tennessee Jock sniffers trying to polish my knob, so don’t do it here. I post and lurk on Rivals and Scout, so you may see me there occasionally.
I’ve read everything I can find, including many posts by fellow Vol fans and so-called *experts*.
I’ve watched some film.
I’ve read the bios.
I talked to some folks who know some folks.
Now, I have an opinion on who should be the coach at UT.
1. Butch Davis. Solid at a very high level. Shortest path to success is this proven H.C. The question is, does he want to take this on?
2. Mike Leach. HE is the best offense coach since Saint Steve. Get him an outstanding Defensive coordinator (Chavis will work) and UT will take off. My personal favorite – let’s take a chance. It’s going to take a few years to get back to the top, why not enjoy the ride?
3. Brian Kelly. He reminds me of a young Butch Davis (before the NCAA Sanctions). Has all the tools and knows how to get it done. This man will win a national championship somewhere in the future.
Jon Gruden won’t leave the NFL and isn’t a proven commodity at the college Head Coach level, especially in recruiting.

Thanks for posting your info here
That’s my list, with Leach and Kelly reversed.
Leach is not coming over here and only a nutcase would keep Chavis.
Lou Holtz has SEC experience.
I would love to see him run out of the big T, then walk over to the sideline and start patting Smokey on the head.
I would love to see him run out with a big Smokey Costume Mascot head on, running through the T
Shit! LOL!
Lou Holtz is senile.
John “Prevent” Chavis??? What the F@^& are you thinking! If your going to clean house, clean the whole thing!
i hear Petrino is looking for a job. he will be Dick less next yer
10-It takes a Dick to coach at Rocky Top.
9-I like Chavis but he should be selling shoes at K-Mart.
