The former 5-Star recruit signed with the Gators, took a redshirt, and was in the rotation at safety his redshirt freshman season. An off the field issue (I am making air quotes) led Jamar to N’ East CC and this season Hornsby let the rest of the country know that he is still around.
“Alabama is another program I am looking at hard. They have offered me, along with Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Troy. I know Coach Smart (at Alabama) really well. He was an assistant at Georgia when they recruited me out of high school. He showed me around on my official visit at Georgia. I have that trust factor with him because of our long standing relationship.”

No young man can resist the sheen of Saban’s gloriously feathered angel wing bangs nor the opportunity to party with XXXX. But more than that, every young man instinctively yearns for the tradition and history that only the University of Alabama can offer.
Saban should tell the Herban Meyer to tell the redneck cops to “back off”. Those Hogtown PD idiots think it’s “NYPD Blue”. Saban has already shown his unwillingness to bow to the pressure of the media when he refused to stop cursing on the sidelines or to switch from his acid washed jeans and denim shirts. This time Saban decided it was time to stand up for the players.
Bama has always had its fair share of thieves, shills and grifters. I promise that if Jamar Hornsby had been playing for Mack Brown or one of these coaches today, he never would have stepped on the field. Nick Saban recognizes that kids today may have moved on from credit card fraud and are now trying marijuana and playing with guns. Alabama has to keep up with the times and give these guys the same chances that countless other Bama players have had in the past.

Dirt – I hate to break this to you – but that is all very old old news.
This is – allegedly – a UT football site. And when you are reduced to whining about stuff like this it shows (conclusively) how pathetic) your program (in this case UT) has become.
I am not doing this for funsies. I think UT is a great traditional program. But this is unquestionably pathetic.

Pathetic like losing to ULM? Thats okay… with a new coach and future convict 5 Star recruits we can bounce back like Bama did.
