Some thoughts on Fulmerisms

For years and years Fulmer and his staff have engraved their philosophies in the fans heads. When he spoke we agreed. We needed to turn Safety into a LB to get speed on the field. We were one year away. We were going to right the ship. Some of our young guys were to green to play…We used to take everything he said at face value. We were right to do so. He won a ton of games…a lot…a lot of games. So we trusted an believed in him. We believed in his coach speak, and we believed in his ideas of how to correctly build this program into a winning one. Over the last couple of years us as fans have started to question. We have become cynics. We have second guessed. It started out as a minority, but grew and grew with every year. Recently it got to the point of no return. Whether Fulmer was wrong in the first place, or if his philosophies just didnt work in today’s modern game… almost everybody could agree that with all due respect to phil, it was time. That what he was doing no longer worked. We started to laugh at his press conferences and coaching decisions. Now that he has been fired and we had the loss to Wyoming I think it is pretty safe to say that nobody has confidence in “working like heck”…basically nobody thinks that any of this is going to work. Nobody trusts what Fulmer says anymore…it has all been proven to be inaccurate….

Why did he keep playing Crompton?  He is possibly the worst QB to wear orange since Sterling Hinton.   Sterling was awful.  Crompton can’t even see Sterling from the level of awful that he has failed at.

Sterling was the first nail in Majors coffin and Crompton is the final nail in Fulmer’s coffin.  During the Vandy “win”, did anyone else hear that announcer question Crompton’s toughness and athletic ability?  What is painfull obvious to us, must be tunnel vision to Phillip
well nobody trusts anything except one thing. There is one thing that for some reason people still listen to Fulmer about. Still take his word for. Even though everything else has been proven to be false in this day and age, people still trust Fulmer that Tennessee is devoid of HS talent. Why people? Why? Why can’t you tie this to Fulmer’s demise? He is the only coach who truly believes this. Butch Davis recruits Tennessee….Nick Saban recruits Tennessee…even Mike freaking Leach dips into the For years and years Fulmer and his staff have engraved their philosophies in the fans heads. Nice effort. I heard you on the radio show last night. You really should let your anti fulmer agenda go. Kentucky is his last game
