Nobody wants to hear a woman talking during a football game unless it is to say “can I bring you a beer?” or “I’m heading out to the mall for awhile”.
Whoever she is, nobody wants to listen to her do color analysis during your broadcasts. Some things just aren’t natural and the braniac who thought this horrible science experiment was a good idea should be imprisoned for life.
Amen. And ESPN, while we’re at it, let’s go ahead and drop Doris Burke from doing color analysis on NBA games. I’m sure she knows all about the fundamentals (just look at that high-octane WNBA), but I could seriously give a fuck what she thinks about a sport different from anything she has ever played or coached.
agreed….i refuse to even watch the games when she is on, and if it is a good game that is worth watching, i have to put it on mute
I could not agree more! I want my football announcers to have at least played the sport in high school, and if they are the analysts, they should have played in college. Don’t get me wrong, though. Women and watching football go great together. As lloydbraun pointed out, they can bring you beer, sandwiches, etc. so you don’t have to get up and miss any of the game. Other than that, silence is preferred.
Listening to Doris Burke is probably as close to you guys get to women. Like, who wants to bring you anything?
