The Trooper factor and the Kiffin news

I wanted to take a moment to  talk Troop Taylor returning to the hill.

I think bringing back Trooper would actually be somewhat of a genius move for our new coach. First off I think he can be a good OC. But I know that can be argued to no end. But the thing that makes Troop so attractive for the new HC is that he has the locker room. The first biggest challenge for any new coach is to earn the respect of every payer and make them want to play for you. This will be particularly difficult for our new coach because Fulmer was a real player’s coach. Those kids have a lot of respect for Fulmer, and obviously some of them feel like he got a raw deal. If the new coach brings Trooper with him, not only do you get a guy who knows the program, but you get a guy in your corner who the kids really respect. Trooper could change a lot of those kids attitudes toward the new coach very quickly. I dont think you would see many transfers…especially not on offense.

I’d like to see Trooper back, especially with the rumors of Bill Callahan coming to run the offense.

    Shane, Shane… come back Shane!

Grow up and move on. Trooper is so 2005.
