Herban taps dat Bammeroid ass
2008 December 6

America’s Penis (Florida, look at a map) wins the the SEC Criminal Game. They did have fewer arrests than Bama this year afterall. Sidenote: I thought that Tebow and Riley Cooper needed to go get a room as they nuzzled and canoodled one another on the sidelines. Awkward….
Either way, this week’s Tebow suck-off by CBS and Gary Danielson is now complete. I counted 16 acts of oral copulation by Danielson. Good job Gary!!

I guess it’s safe to say that Meyer is the “Dean of SEC Coaches” (it’s either Meyer or Spurrier).
I think it’s Richt
1-It’s more like Dick than Dean.
Florida was better. But not that much better. And Saban has fewer seniors than any other program in America. Only nine. And he Has Julio – who now needs only one name, like Elvis and God – coming back as a true sophomore.
Of course, Urban has Tebow coming back and a ton of talent. So this same matchup will be in Atlanta next year. Sorry UT, UGA, LSU, everybody else. You can write it down.
And what bowl is Uteet attending this year? I’m still searching for that one!
With cutie pie Kiffin on duty you can bet its going to be a loooong time!
The really big point here is that UF and UA have more talent right now than anyone else in the league and that gap is expanding rather than contracting. UF’s edge in the west is yawning, and the UF advantage in the East will grow even bigger with a BCS win.
We may have a run of a number of years of UF vs. Bama SECCGs. UF looks certain for next year and if Bama can do well at QB (and given the numerous knocks on JPW over the years it would appear that play there will probably be as good in 2009 as in 2008) Alabama may actually have a bigger edge over its divisional competition than UF does. Only 9 seniors at Alabama in 85 scholarships- the fewest in America. Off of a team that has won 12 games.
That looks daunting.
@6,
Bama has a young team cuz most people sell coke or commit armed robbery by the time they are Seniors.
YEAH!
@5:
“Harvin wont be playing and Tebow will be on his backside!”
At least you got the first part right. You should feel good about that.
Hey #7 – look at the UA roster. Almost the entire defense comes back 2-deep (and in some cases 3+ deep). And that defense was the best on third down in the country THIS year. They were also third best in the country against the run. They’ll be even better in 2009.
They’ll be very very good. You can’t lame-joke that away.
Florida looks great on offense for 2009, but the Alabama defense could be the best single unit in the country.
I lust bought an 8 ball from Jimmy Johns
#10 – You lust ’bout Jimmy Johns’ balls?
Sounds like he’s too busy getting ‘tea-bagged’ to type
There is a little thing called a job, that you two unemployment drawing motherfuckers would have no idea about, that takes up some of my time during the week.
UAT’s team is so young because of all the players getting booted, and they will continue to stay young after the Roll Tihders find trouble to get into down in the T-town ghettos.
YEAH!
Look at Herban beating Saban’s ass. Glorious photoshop
Love this quote…
“While Saturday’s loss may have been shocking for Alabama players and fans, it wasn’t to Gators fans. They came prepared. While watching UF celebrate, Crimson Tide fans were pelted with sugar packets and boxes of sugar that had been carried into the stadium as a dig at UA for playing in the Sugar Bowl and not the BCS national title game.”
Hey -gotta give UF fans credit for that – they did GAME PREPERATION!
@13 Poor lil Johnny, its tough to pump gas then run back in and connect to the internet….multi-tasking is not your thing!
Love the ’shop…
That’s up there with the Unknown Johnny…
Bammer will be good for the forseeable future, but replacing a qb in the SEC is never easy.
As for UF, our already very good defense will just get better over the next 2 years as well.
@20…’replacing a QB wont be easy’…wanna bet?
Its done every year…
Looking forward to the rematch in ‘09 Floriduh….
What difference does it make? Last I recall, both “Herban” and Saban have RAPED you in the ass for the past two years–make that in nearly every meeting… Oh, and by the way, things are only going to get worse as Mike Shula’s clone, Lane Kiffin (WHO WILL WIN NATONAL CHAPONCHIP IN THUREE YEERS!!!!!11). Do you guys seriously think he’s the answer to your ongoing troubles? Do you REALLY think this guy is going to end the losing streak to Saban and Meyer? After Meyer humiliates you next season, and Saban follows that up with the touch-up, the Toxville mob will be after him.
We are licking our chops right now and counting down the days till we light the fire underneath Kiffin’s seat.
I guess you guys will just never get it. You sound like a bunch of 12 year olds instant messaging eachother on Yahoo! messenger while jerking off to “hotgrandmas.com” in another browser. It is blatantly obvious that almost none of you know anything about college football. Florida did not ALMOST lose. They did not BARELY win. They won by more than the spread. They out played Alabama plain and simple. The Gator defense is better than the Alabama defense NOW and it will be the same case NEXT YEAR. Tim Tebow has not made a decision on whether he’s coming back next year. After the season is over, we will know. If he doesn’t, John Brantley will pick up the slack and Rainey, Moody, James and possibly Harvin will be running all over teams for the next few years. The defense will make teams look silly. Everyone is on Nick Saban’s nuts. So what if he works hard. I HOPE SO. 4 MIL A YEAR? Bama is nuts. As long as Urban is at Florida, his recruiting will make Saban’s recruiting look like a grilled cheese sandwich with no cheese, and no bread. Nick Saban can ejoy beating everyone in the West and some in the East, but there will always be the Jawja dome. Alabama may have beaten Clemson in Atlanta, and they may kill VT in Atlanta next season on opening day, but a few months later, Florida will stomp Alabama again in the dome. It is best if Bama just takes it and doesn’t fight. Just bite the pillow or something to ease the pain. As for you morons writing comments on here, go back to whatever it is that you were doing, or not doing. Watch some CFB live or something in order to get some better feedback than what you hear daddy saying at the dinner table.
@23 Hey slick dick, sorry to ruin your day but you didn’t outplay the Tide, you had a couple of lucky calls go your way….
The petty facemask call on 3rd & 4 was the turning point. We all know that was a pathetic attempt to keep that drive which if you punt their the game is closer and likely goes to the Tide.
Tebow’s intentional grounding while he’s getting slammed to the turf was a great no-call for you…..we’ll see you in 2009
@24…why such cockiness? how do you know there will be a rematch next december v Fla? Bama had lots of breaks come their way, and y’all had a great season. Bama almost lost to Ole Miss and squeaked by LSU (thanks in large part to a pick six by the qb, who by next year, will likely be third string)…Saban is a greatr coach, but don’t think he will be around forever. (i say once ND gets fed up with Weis he goes there).
anyway enjoy the Sugar Bowl against Herban’s old team.
@24:
Lucky calls? Are you kidding me? But in all seriousness, I knew it was only a matter of time before a Bama fan resorted to that. Typical.
Bottom line is that Bama got Florida to play THEIR type of game and Florida still won….. without the most explosive player in college football (Harvin)…. and while outgaining Bama in the 4th Qtr. 133 yards -to- 1.
Both teams played extremely tight football (very disciplined, very few penalties, only 1 turnover between the 2 teams when the game was already out of hand.) It was a great game. Nerve-racking, but at the same time a terrific game.
In the end, Bama failed to “finish” the game. Bama’s meteoric rise to the top this year was due to 1 good half of football early in the year to what turned out to be a vastly overrated Georgia team. Granted, going 12-0 in the SEC is a great accomplishment, but there were a lot more close games for Bama than there were for Florida.
Quit bitching about it and accept it for being the great game that it was.
@25
One thing is for sure, LSU is back to being lsu and i would say that Ole Miss will more than likey be 2nd in the west for years to come which means ark and lsu will compete for 3rd.
As for the East the Gaytors should continue to stay on top for at least a few more years although the recruiting will suffer…the ‘09 class is already showing signs of a demise.
Yawn………..
First it was “the spread will never work in the SEC.”
Then it was “well he won with Zook’s Players.”
Next, it was “Tebow can’t pass, he’s just a running Quarterback.”
After that, it was “their defense is overrated and not as good as Alabama’s.”
Now, it’s “the ‘09 Class is already showing signs of a demise.”
Yeah, because Recruits never want to go play for a school that has played for 2 NC’s in 3 Years. UF doesn’t have a lot of scholarships this year so there will not be strength in numbers per se. But the “quality” of the class will be good.
Keep ‘em coming, fellas.
LL,
You are forgetting the Bammers like the have strength in numbers due to the amount of dope dealers and armed robbers arrested in the off-season.
Does Julio have to testify in dude’s murder conviction appeal? He may miss some practices.
@27, baseless yet again. for starters when has a Nutt-Coached team ever competed year in and year out for tops in the West? ole miss got a place in the sun this year, when was the last time that happened? in 2003–5 years ago.
i am not saying that LSU will come back to dominate. this year was going to be rough going in, with no qbs with any sort of experience and no d-coordinator (Pelini staying to coach the NC game was a blessing and a curse). next year is a differnet story. we’ll see how bama does when Shula’s players start matriculating lol…
you forgot another thing that is for sure–Bama ain’t playing for no championship this season…RTR.
Its OK to be jealous since you’ll be home watching lsu and the viles in non-BCS bowls for a long time!
I’m not jealous. I’ll be in Miami.
@31-The Rebels will be kicking that pussy ass down at Baton Rouge much more than 31-13 for years to come. One more 3-5 for Miles and his incompetent ass is gone.
@33 wtf are you smoking? i agree that if Miles doesn’t show improvement quck then yeah, he will be gone. but when in the last 35 years have the hotty totties dominated LSU?
that’s is almost as delusional as daddy roid who sez that “bama’s back”….roids undoubtedly had a great year; however, this ain’t the Bahr’s college football…the game has changed dramatically since Bahr last coached….take Utah fer instance…would Bahr have ever played the Utes in the Sugar Bowl? what a premier matchup that will be. every bit as exciting as UGA-Hawaii.
34-As the old Carpenter’s standard goes, “We’ve Only Just Begun”. Past history is whining bullshit.
I’m sure the Corn Dog faithful are excited about munching chicken in Atlanta. I’ll be pulling for your Tigers but I’m afraid they have their worst nightmare in Tech’s triple option.
You are correct on the Bear thing. Utah would be playing Texas and Alabama would have the Fails on their plate. Of course, Texas gets to rip those OhioSlowboat’s ass.
35–now ur talking. fuck ohio state. we’ll have to agree to disagree with respect to who is who in the west.
anyway, the rebs were the better team this year (qb play makes a huge difference) and should give the red raiders trouble. Lord knows if it was LSU in the cotton, harrell would have over 500 yds against us. the wreck will be formidable and i think our best matchup would have been vs iowa in the outback. no way that was happening with our league record.
It looks like to me that LSU and UT fans are very very nervous and UF and Bama fans are very confident.
And that seems reasonable given a glance down the returning rosters and at the respective coaching staffs.
I would think that a fanbase with Alabama’s history wouldn’t try to pin a well-played loss on the refs.
And there was no call in the game as dumb as that sideline infraction.
@38 You dont read much do you?
The intentional grounding in the 2nd was a dumb ass ref missed call.
No one was in the area and the announcers agreed
The poor facemask call was your lucky break…you were beat if not for that and you know it.
Suffice it to say that the lucky breaks went your way for ‘08.
Hey UF was better. So be it. Let it go. The Gators are the best teamin the country – this year.
Alabama has 9 seniors. Total. Off a team that has won 12 games (and will get to 13). That is the smallest amount of seniors in the country.
Julio – true freshman. Rolando McLain – true sophomore. Glen Coffee – junior. Mount Cody – junior (and looks like he is coming back). Arenas – junior. And it goes on and on and on.
Alabama will be good for a long time. Saban to ND? ND ain’t what it used to be. Remember Urban picked UF OVER that job. ND is a bad bad job – huge expectaions, no local recruiting base, declining number of Catholic Division 1 prospects for decades now. If Saban goes, it won’t be to South Bend. And if he does leave for any other job, he’ll leave a program so laoded that even a Les Miles would be able to win big for a few years off of the remnants.
39- You don’t understand the game much do you?
He was outside the Tackles and the pass went past the line of scrimage.
Poor fasemask? Was his hand on the fasemask or not? New rule… Any hands to the fasemask is 15 yards and an automatic firstdown…
Fase the facts Bammeroid…It wasn’t “lucky breaks” for Florida, it was Lazy Fat Asses that can’t play a full 4 quarters on the DLine…
@41 Lazy fat asses? They’ve gotten the job done in 11 games this year, and if you’re an SEC fan, then it’s obvious your team hasn’t done any better!
LANE KIFFIN WILL WIN NASHUNAL CHAMPONCHIP IN TOO YEERZ! GO VILEZ!!!!!1
#41 – just a small correction – Tebow’s pass in question definitely did NOT go past the line of scrimmage (unless his linemen were downfield). But I agree this wasn’t a game of “lucky breaks.” UF was better. But Bama can look to the future. This will be the weakest Alabama team (in talent) that the Tide will have in the next several years, and it won 12 games (so far).
Let it go. UF is the best team in the county – this year. The matchup in Atlanta next season will be the same two teams. There might very well be a different outcome then.
@41 Smart ass, its a simple rule that you’re trying to spin.
Def-
Intentional grounding will be called when a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage due to pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion.
As for the facemask it was poor officiating, the hand grazed the side of the facemask, it was not pulled!
I almost thought you had some sense till the ‘lazy ass’ statement was made about the D-line, which makes you just another jealous fan.
Now get back to your crossword puzzle, and let the big boys talk..um-kay!
hmmm…
let’s see… FLA 19 plays 127 yards 2 tds with10:09 of possession, Rammeroids had 10 plays 20 yrds an INT with while killing 4:29…
Okay Lazy was a bad discription, how about Out of shape fat asses?
Here is a picture of the non-excisting “Facemask Penalty” big crybaby bammeroid…
http://rattlergator.typepad.com/rattlergator/2008/12/that-crucial-facemask-penalty-on-bama.html
A Little Schoolin’ for the Bammeroid….
No Spin here shitforbrains…
Illegal Forward Pass
ARTICLE 2. A forward pass is illegal:
a. If thrown by a Team A player who is beyond the neutral zone [S35 and S9].
b. If thrown by a Team B player or if thrown by a Team A player after team possession has changed during the down [S35].
c. If it is the second forward pass by Team A during the same down [S35 and S9].
d. If, to conserve time, the pass is not thrown immediately after the ball is first controlled after the snap or is thrown after the ball has touched the ground. If, to conserve time, the pass is thrown where no eligible Team A player has a reasonable opportunity to catch it (A.R. 7-3-2-II-VIII) [S35 and S9].
e. If thrown from in or behind the neutral zone after a runner in possession of the ball has gone beyond the neutral zone [S35 and S9].
PENALTY—Five yards from the spot of the foul; also loss of down if by Team A before team possession changes during a scrimmage down (A.R. 3-4-3-IV and A.R. 7-3-2-II) [S35 and S9].
f. If, to save loss of yardage, a forward pass is thrown where no eligible Team A player has a reasonable opportunity to catch it. When in FR-102 RULE 7-3 / SNAPPING AND PASSING THE BALL
question, the Team A player has a reasonable opportunity to catch the pass (A.R. 7-3-2-I) [S36 and S9].
Exceptions:
1. It is not a foul when the passer, who is or has been outside the frame of the body of the normal tackle position toward a sideline, throws the ball so that it lands in or out of bounds beyond the neutral zone. (A.R. 7-3-2-IX).
2. It is not a foul when the passer, who is or has been outside the frame of the body of the normal tackle position toward a sideline, throws the ball so that it touches a player, an official, or anything beyond the neutral zone.
PENALTY—Loss of down at the spot of the foul [S36 and S9].
It’s Wednesday and you’re still trying to blame the refs, huh YDB? Unbelievable.
Not only was Tebow outside the tackle box, but the ball made it past the line of scrimmage and the pass landed within 3-4 feet of A. Hernandez.
If you want to get upset about something, be upset at your own team for gaining only 1 net yard in the 4th Quarter.
#47 I don’t think the pass made it past the LOS (it hit right at the UF lineman’s feet and they were a few yards back in the backfield – if you recall Danielson thougt it was grounding too) but I do agree the officiating was NOT the big factor in that game. UF was better. For now.
Alabama should move on. Next season looks very good and the years after even bigger.
@46 Did you get voted most ignornant of the class??
How nice of you to try and clarify this but it doesn’t matter, your still wrong, the ball didn’t cross the line!…archaic does define your mindset, i’ll agree to that!
@49:
Again YDB, you’re bitching about 1 play that happened on a 1st down play. You should be pissed about your team gaining only 1 yard over the last 15 mins. of the game!
How can you be pissed about a team that played FL better than any team all year? Look at the game stats before you respond…When you know that this team was picked to finish 3rd in the West its not just a forgone conclusion.
how is it that “bama is back” after one good season but “LSU is on the decline” after one bad season?? is it more of that bammer logic?
What bowl game is LSU playing in this season? …and what bowl game did LSU play in last season?
#51,
I think we played them pretty damn well; hell, I would say better than any other team UF has played.
You are such a stupid Bammer centric fuck.
Sarah Jessica Parker Wilson is good for one bed shitting game.
The SECG was his..
Good luck finding someone who’ll soil the trailer sheets as good as him!!
LMAO…
This place is ruthless…
The cornodog fan base certainly seems to smell like fear as well as corndogs these days . . .
The Miles Collapse – how fast it has been . . .and gaining speed . . . .
For all the rocket scientist Bammeroids posting on this thread, I’d just like to say thanks to JPW for being such an important speedbump in 2 different seasons on our way to BCS title games.
His interceptions, 2 years ago to Reggie Nelson and this year to Joe Haden, will be fondly remembered by Gators everywhere for all time.
59
Seeing that TeBlow peeked early with his Heisman and now Mullen’s gone & Oklahoma looms you might want to hold off the celebration party.
btw , the 31-3 ass whooping in ‘05 we gave out still gets more pub than the ‘06 season.
Quick question, since Urbie said yesterday that ND is still he’s dream job how much loyalty does he really have??????
Hey guys – just saw that UGA had 6 count ‘em 6 frosh on the SEC All-Freshman team. Since BEFORE those guys hit the field UGA was supposed to be more loaded than Pat Dye on a weekend, how the HELL did that team manage to be so piss poor after starting out Numero Uno????
@60 YDB:
Tebow peaked too early? lol. He has a better team around him this year than he did last year. More people to spread the ball around to. But yeah, 28 TDs to only 2 INTs (none over the past 8 games) is an average season by his standards. I understand.
I am more confident about the Okla. game then I was about the Georgia, FSU, or Bama game. The old saying is that “defense wins championships.” Over the past 10 years of the BCS, the BCS Champion has been ranked in the Top 15 in total Defense every time except twice (FSU was 17th in ‘99, OSU was 22nd in ‘02). This year, UF is 9th and OU is 65th!!! 2 years ago, OSU supposedly had an unstoppable offense w/ a Heisman Trophy winner. They were held to 82 Total Yards. OU has yet to see a defense as fast as UF’s.
The 31-3 Bama win in 2005 was a great win for their program. Sadly, most people remember it for being the game that Prothro got injured when Shula left Prothro in despite being up 31-3 midway thru the 4th.
Now, I’ll bite on what Meyer said on the radio. He was asked if Notre Dame was his “dream job”. Without hesitation, he said that it’s “still his dream job, that has not changed. Maybe one day down the road, I’ll coach there. I don’t know.”
All Coaches have egos. Along with that, all Coaches like challenges. If, in fact, Urban wins the NC this year and in a few years leaves to become the HC at Notre Dame, I’m ok with that. He would have won 2 SEC and 2 NCs at UF and produced a Heisman Trophy Winning QB. What else more could he do? ND was his dream job long before he became the HC at UF. So if he leaves, so be it. We’ll move on. No Coach is bigger than the program at UF. But who knows? Things could change and in a couple of years when ND comes calling he could say to himself – “Why would I want to leave here when I’m already King?” For now, I’m enjoying the ride.
I actually appreciate Meyer being honest about his dream job. This way, if he ever does leave, it’s not by surprise. It’s not like he’s convincing players to stay and saying he’s not going anywhere only to leave in the middle of the night for his dream job (*cough* Franchione *cough*). And it’s not like he’s lying to the media for 2 months straight saying that he’s not leaving his current job despite the fact he had his Agent secretly contact the University and tell them that if they happened to fire their current coach and wait until after his current season is up in 2 months that he could be their coach (*cough* Saban *cough*).
@61:
I’m surprised there hasn’t been more chatter about how disappointing of a season UGA had.
#63 – Most of the talk has been about Alabama’s frosh and they did contribute big to a 12-1 year – but UA had 4 freshmen on the All- SEC Freshman team. UGA has 6 freshmen on the All-SEC Freshman team and they actually got WORSE this year.
Mark Richt and Les Miles are starting to look like they are inhaling Urban and Saban’s vapor trails . . .
@62
And you left out the turnover margin from the OM game!
Your optimism is over the top considering there is a game still to be played…maybe Tebow can be the O coach and the qb at the same.
Since Meyer has all but come out and said he’ll be taking the job at ND next year then he’s telling recruits its not a forgone conclusion, its a fact…That’s really what you want in a head coach!…I agree.
Keep pumping that sunshine!
@64:
Yeah, if I’m a UGA Fan, I’d be bummed because I’d be thinking – “If we didn’t make it this year w/ Stafford & Moreno, when will we EVER make it???”
Giving up over 40 points and losing all 3 of your big games is downright terrible. Doing that as a preseason #1 breaks new ground for terrible. And Richt said that he won’t be getting rid of Martinez! That’s great news for the rest of the SEC East.
@65:
Does it suck to have to resort to calling out Florida for the Ole Miss loss because Bama couldn’t beat Florida? What douche-like tactic. That’s the same shit Georgia fans used to always do after another Cocktail Party loss (i.e. “So, so! Y’all will still lose to Florida State!”) lol.
I’m optimistic about Florida’s chances and I gave the FACTS to back it up. But I forgot, Bama fans don’t debate “fact”.
lol! Meyer’s leaving after next year? Riiiiiiight. I’ll believe it when I see it. Like I said, if he leaves, great. If he stays, great. No one Coach is bigger than the Florida program now. A program that has won 2 National Championships, 4 SEC Championships, and is playing for their 4th NC all over the past 13 years.
And seriously. A Bama fan is lecturing me about “optimism”? A Bama fan is lecturing me about “Character”. My God, the unintentional comedy you spew is off the charts!
And one more thing, YDB…..
Sun Sports showed the replay of the SECCG last night. The facemask call that you have been bitching about all week? Yeah, the Bama defender yanked his head 90 degrees to the left. But again, it was a bullshit call in your mind, right? lol.
Bottom line: Bama got Florida to play their “style” of game and they still lost by 11 points and gained only 1 total yard the entire 4th Quarter. Florida won without one of the best playmakers in the country (if not the best) and playing with a depleted defensive line. Also, “Mount Cody” was a factor on only one play.
You lost. Better luck next year.
Vagina
Hey #68 – I think Alabama may very well have “better luck next year.”
Only 9 seniors – fewest in the country – off a team that went 12-0 in the regular season (the first team in the SEC to EVER do that by the way).
UF will be terrific again next season. No doubt. But Alabama is the one team in the SEC with any chance of being better.
Same two teams in Atlanta in December 2009. Almost a certainty 12 months out.
@67
SInce your tradtion started in the mid-90’s..i would expect nothing less. And fags like you say BAMA lives in the past……21 SECC’s is a long way to go when you have 4, but we dont debate facts!
I’ll make a bet that Meyer is gone after next season to ND and you’ll know that UF was a stepping stone to touchdown Jesus. Meyer is an ego-maniac but most methodical geniuses are….Saban, too.
@70:
I agree. I think Bama will be back in Atlanta next year. Evidently they have a good QB in waiting (McElroy?)
@68
Its called acting, moron, go back and watch it again….
Your a true Gaytor fan, you’d argue with a fence-post!
@71:
lol. Again with the “90s” bullshit. But since you want to talk about “fact”. it’s 8 SEC Championships since 1990, not 4. It’s 4 over the past 13 years. Pay attention.
Nobody is debating Bama’s Tradition. But as always, since Florida has been the most decorated SEC Program of the past 2 decades, the other programs always resort back to the “You don’t have any Tradition!” line. It’s a tired line. Get a new angle. Sorry we didn’t win Championships back when football was 3 yards and a cloud of dust and back when there were 37 different polls that picked their own “National Champion”.
I said in comment #62 that all coaches have egos. Again, pay attention.
@73:
You can’t be serious. How do you “act” on a facemask call?! Just when I thought you couldn’t get any more dumb.
Just to humor you (and all of the other Commentators in this thread if they choose to join in), the 3:10 mark starts the actual play, the 3:51 mark shows the replay.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U99_MmW9f2Y
It is hilarious how much emphasis you put on this one play.
#72 – I have heard that McElroy was more athletic and a better pure passer by far than JPW. McElroy’s HS coach – who also coached Chase Daniel of Mizzou – thought McElroy was better than Daniel. And McElroy originally committed to Texas Tech and I believe Leach though McElroy was a better prospect than Harrell (although that is a ways back).
Even so, replacing a three-year starter at QB is the toughest task for Alabama. But remember, they ain’t replacing Tebow – just JPW. So if they get an adequate role-player at QB with Glen Coffee, Roy Upchurch, Mark Ingram, and Julio Jones all back, they should still be a top-5 team in the country next year. Maybe better than that.
@70–okay so Bama will only lose 9 seniors off this season’s team; however, how many players will be lost due to arrest?
your prognostication is premature. to summarily discount LSU is in error. we had one bad year. Bama had several bad years before this one.
Miles had to go with what he had this year. Losing Perrilloux hurt. Not having the time to land a big name D-coordinator hurt. let’s see if he makes the necessary changes before just writing off LSU, shall we?
#75,
All the HS accolades don’t mean shit.
Lots of fear in here. Most of it appears to originate in Louisiana and eastern Ala/SwGa. As it should.
@79–ain’t no fear here, bitch. just undue cockiness on your part…12-0 is great and all, but, with no hardware, it kinda doesn’t mean shit. now you know how the barn in ‘04 felt…oh nevermind…the plainsmen won the SEC that year.
have fun in the Sugar against the mighty utes!!
@80
Hey dickhead! ….why dont you rewatch the ESPN awards show from last night b4 you spew stupid shit!
We’ll have tons o fun playing in a BCS bowl taking home 17mil while your sucking a dick!!
Floriduh still sucks dick….always have, always will!
LL is a pompous ass little gaytor
12 Nat’l Champs
21 SEC Champs
Match it!
#82 – they will argue until they are blue in the face about the 12, but the 21 they cannot argue away.
Who is SECOND now in SEC football championships? UT or UF?
EVERYONE KNOWS who is number 1 . . .
