Alabama Power

Roids are going to lose to Utah, cause Herban used to coach them.  Read this (thanks SamVol):Nick Saban and the Roids
Record: 10-1
Teams Played With Winning Records: 5
Strength of Schedule: 63
Points Against Teams With Winning Records: 143
Points Allowed Against Teams with Winning Records: 112

Given the fact that they only played 5 teams with winning records, I’m not convinced how much he turned the program around.

In comparison, in 2007, he was 6-6. Here are the same statistics:

Record: 6-6
Teams Played With Winning Records: 8
Strength of Schedule: 18
Points Against Teams With Winning Records: 197
Points Allowed Against Teams with Winning Records: 201

I know they were 10-1 this year and that’s great, but there schedule is directly attributed to their weak schedule.

  1. Bitterness has reached a new high. Only someone truly desperate for comfort in these cold winter months with no bowls would get to thie level.

First, Alabama is 12-1 this season, not 10-1. I don’t think that wins against Tennessee and Auburn should count either, but they do.

Second, Bama also defeated two additional bowl teams (Kentucky and Clemson) who limped to 6-6 records. Tennessee, Arkansas and Auburn were all 5-7. Clearly, these aren’t great teams, but they all won more games than, say, Wyoming.

Either way, this is some bitter vitriol coming from the bowl-free. I know it hurts to see us play in the Sugar Bowl while you guys sit, but win more games. It helps us all if you do.

  2. 10-1?……facts are easy to fudge, its the tennercee way!

  3. Fudged like Logan Young and a winn dixie bag full of unmarked bills. Who is the bagman of the 21st century?

  4. Ears,
My money (get it?) is on Bammer BOT member Joe Espy as being the new bagman.

    Rollin’

  5. 1 and 2…that sure is a marquee matchup in the sugar. like the judge in “My Cousin Vinny” said: “what is a ute?”…..

  6. It’s true Bama didn’t play a program worth a damn. Just programs like Tennessee and Western Kentucky. Peas in a pod.

  7. @6 Yep, no kidding and the SEC had a down year and few Sr qb’s!

How is Kiffy doing on the recruting trail? …sure has been quiet.

  8. Has Jimmy Johns gone to trial yet???

  9. I hear Jimmy is trying to get in touch with that guy on here who was ‘lusting after his balls.”
