Well I’m a Bama guy and I can tell you that most people I have talked to are in agreement. We got drilled fair and square.
The team did look flat. But the lack of depth was exposed on the O-line and I can tell you that unless some is developned by next season Alabama may not be the championshipcontender we had been assuming we would have with the loss of only 9 seniorts.
You pay this guy 4 million to put a team on the field in a BCS Bowl that is totally oblivious to the task at hand. The opponent hits you in the mouth with 21 in the first quarter, then you try to play catchup with an unimaginitive and predictable offense.
Contrast that with the Cotton Bowl, the opponent hits you in the mouth with a quick 14 but with an Imaginitive and Unpredictable offense you come back and hang 47 on them.
$aban owes the Bama fans and the SEC a monstrous apology for his ineptitude.

Guys – get real. Please. Saban won 12 games with a team that was projected to win 7. And people who DON’T write on UT blogs named him national coach of the year. That stuff you are writing is dumber than some of the repetitive, imagination-free attempts at “humor” on here.
This team has some holes and will have to get better agin next year to be a champion. But my God it is relevant (remember tossing that word around a LOT UT folks?)and IN a BCS bowl unlike a few other schools (ahem) with 7 losses and idle all bowl season. It was number one in the country for a month and played in a BCS bowl two years removed from Mike Shula. I’ll take that.

Actually, even a casual LSU fan knows that Saban has trouble with consistency and winning big games. My man Les Miles didn’t lose 2 consecutive games until Year 4, and has NEVER lost an OOC game. Saban was never able to say that, except for his title run in 2003.
