Q&A: Tennessee QB Jonathan Crompton regains confidence | Sporting News
Just think about it and hear me out. We know he was highly rated coming out of HS, and he played great (not as great as some thought) when he filled in for Ainge when he was hurt. But, giving how confusing the offense was last year and the 4th OC that he had worked under; there was just too much piled against the offense.

Frankly he just ain’t that smart now, fast forward to 2009 and our new staff. They will fine tune his strengths and keep his weaknesses (name one, i dare you) to a minimum (not to mention the loaded backfield this year). I can see him having a great year and look totally different that he has been the hole time at UT.

There are reports that he is stepping up as a leader and working with all the new freshman. It is all about confidence and repetition. He is going to help us win games this year and end up with a pretty good legacy. Atlanta, we willnot be denied.

It is plain to see….Heisman, Mountain Damn Values and Vols, Bitch.

Kind of hard to win games when your coach refuses to bench a running back that can’t hold on to the ball in the red zone.

I’m a firm believer in the coaches developing the talent, a great example would be john parker he really struggled until our off. cord. mcelwain came in and really helped j.p. another would be cutcliffe he is great with Q.B’S . Crompton had all the things you want in a Q.B. coming into your program just needs to transfer it to the field . I believe that will be a strong point for the vols but he needs to stay healthy to give yall a good chance to win games.
