Big Orange Round Table: Week 3

1. Now that we have covered the receivers & QB’s, let’s get to the running game. Just how much improved do you think the running game will be?

Red zone anal destruction?  Nope, not here anymore. Mom’s fine china is safe again.  Brown/Hardesty/Oku: whoever starts at RB, it doesn’t matter, all three will be all-sec caliber, and will be great pro backs, you hide and watch.

2. During the SEC media days, Kiffin made the comment “Do I love every single thing I’ve done my (first) seven months? No, I haven’t loved having to do it. But it needed to be done, in my opinion, for us to get where we needed to be.” What do you think he was talking about?

He was merely articulating the obvious for those who are afraid (Florida, Alabama and Georgia or FAG) I consider Lane Kiffin to be unmatched in football acumen, character, and dedication: A fitting ambassador of the fine university which he  so eloquently represents.

3. Do you think giving Mike Hamilton a big raise and extension is a mistake before seeing how Kiffin performs as a head coach?

The problems for the Tennessee football do not lie with Mike Hamilton or Lane Kiffin As an example take a look at Alabama’s AD Mal Moore. Over the years it was widely believed that Bama’s on and off the field problems were the result of Mal Moore’s inability to recruit rich, morally challenged, whale benefactors. In today’s Alabama, it is Nick Saban’s responsibility to recruit players, but it is Mal’s responsibility to recruit boosters and generate income for the football team, preferably in small non-sequential bills in a Piggly Wiggly brown paper grocery sack.

4. What is the one game Tennessee needs to win this season?

The Bama game of course. We must beat their cheating ass for the second time in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.
