A loyal LWS reader recently attended the the Club Leconte Kiffin breakfast at the Kaplan Center in the Neyland stadium. Here is his “Readers Digest” version of Kiffin’s comments (HT VolNavyMan)

1. Said the offensive line “for whatever reason was heavy” when he got here. They were the group that struggled the most at the beginning of spring but showed vast improvement by the end of spring workouts. Really wanted them to trim down to be able to move better.

3. Good start to recruiting for 2010 and they are actively recruiting beyond 2010.

4. The team attitude is very positive right now and hearing a lot of good things about summer workouts/leadership.

5. Said no plans are in the works for black jerseys and he hasn’t spent any time thinking about it. Said black wouldn’t help the players at all because of the heat.
