I continuously see folks saying that Crompton is a practice quarterback.

“He always does well in practice!”

Please . . .

Even in practice folks have been ragging on him saying he looks like crap. I have no idea where this, “Crompton is a practice quarterback!” stuff came from.

The reason people keep saying that is because Clawson and Fulmer stated last year that they didn’t understand why Crompton wasn’t playing well in the games because he was playing well in practice.  Why would he say that if it weren’t the cotton picking truth?

Truth is, not one single time have I ever seen anyone who has been to practice state that Crompton looked awesome or that they thought he would do great. In fact, every observation made from practice from fans in attendance has been that Crompton looked like crap and wasn’t going to be able to lead this team.  So if he sucked in practice then he would suck at real games too.  Right?

Why folks continue to jump on this “Crompton is a practice quarterback” bandwagon is beyond me. I have watched practice this year and Crompton looked good. How he really stood out was sprinting from drill to drill more than any other player – and challenging coaches to keep up with him! Love that attitude he has.  Hard as Hickory!!!
