Crompton deserves to have a great year. After all this outstanding kid has been through. I think sometimes people forget that these are kids we trash sometimes. This guy has stuck to it and worked his butt off this year. All he has ever wanted was to wear and bleed orange. It would be a great story for him to have a big time year and let’s be honest 4 offensive coordinators in 4 years and I think Dave Clawson was 100% the cause for last year’s team.
When he airmails that first pass into the bleachers, please remember that Tee Martin threw tons of passes into the stands and we won a national championship….what I expect to see happen is people won’t remember his good plays but kill him over his bad ones.
Suuure he “deserves” it. Maybe since he deserves it so much, the other teams will just lay down.
I would love to see him have a great year, but its not going to happen.
We will be lucky to go 8-4 with him at QB, but 6-6 is the most likely outcome.
I also think that JC will have a BIG year, esp. with BB being cleared…

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tennessee athletic officials knew the Volunteers weren’t immune from the bad economy when it came to ticket sales.
But with some new marketing strategies Tennessee has almost reached its goal of selling 71,000 season tickets for 2009. As of Thursday, the athletic department had sold about 70,100, according to Chris Fuller, Tennessee’s associate athletic director for sales and marketing.
The rest of Tennessee’s tickets are either managed by the University of Tennessee alumni association or sold as student tickets or offered to visiting teams to sell. After offseason renovations, Neyland Stadium’s capacity is 100,011.
Season tickets not sold are offered in single-game ticket sales.
