The final play Gerald Jones looked to have run the wrong route. At the very least he ran a bad route.
The right side of the offensive line didn’t perform very well at all.
Even though the D for the most part had a good game there a couple of critical missed tackles on third downs that would have gotten the D off the field without giving up scores.
Now of course Crompton missed Stocker wide open for a TD on the first drive and at least two of the INTs appeared to be his fault. But he actually came back strong in the fourth quarter.
The reality is we have a team full of youth along with a young coach and some older players with confidence issues (and understandably so after last year). And all that combined cost Tennessee a game that could have easily been won. It happens. Move on. Beat Florida on Saturday (yes I know how unlikely that seems) and who will even remember that UCLA was in Knoxville a week earlier. One game at a time.

You make so little of the defense’s great effort, are you crazy? Win at Florida???? Did you hear the score last weekend, “Steven F. Austin: 92, Texas College: 0″… The Vols will recall that score with envy.
