A solid source says that it was this fat sweaty horse’s ass:
John.Lee@espn3.com
This is the guy responsible for taking Eric Berry’s name off the Heisman list at ESPN…
This is what has been emailed back and forth thus far…… (HT AC)
————————————————————–
I contacted ESPN HQ in Conn., they sent me to a secretary whom sent me to HR whom sent me to a PR supervisor (after being on hold for 2 hours) whom sent me to the Director of Marketing whom gave me your email and said you were involved with this contest.
Would you not agree that in a Heisman contest there should be a list of the best players in college football? If yes (which should be the obvious answer considering that is what the award represents), wouldn’t you agree that Eric Berry is one of the best players in College football? If no, please list why.
Also, if you are not the person I need to speak with, could you please send me the email of the person I should contact.
Many thanks!
AC

Mr. Lee
In your Toyota Heisman race contest Eric Berry is third in the voting. His name can no longer be found as a candidate to click on. This seems strange and is probably an oversight. Considering his performances and the obvious popularity, clout he carries in the college football world, and currently being #3 in your poll; wouldn’t you agree he deserves an “auto select” spot above Tony Pike or Casey Keenum? Thanks for your response.
AC
Apparently the address that was given by someone on this board is a breach of security at ESPN…. .

Hi AC,
This is actually a breach of security. If you would please provide the list of people you may have spoken with here at ESPN, along with the Director of Marketing, it would be greatly appreciated.
Please do not distribute this email address as it is not public. Thanks.
Regards,
John

Jai,
A player on a 5-7 team is not going to win the Heisman.
mean people suck
In fairness to ESPN, the guys had the flu this week.
And I thought I was being nice when I said UT would go 5-7.
He can get back on the list when he learns how to tackle Ben Tate.
