Kiffin took exception to the fact that headsets for Tennessee coaches were not working before the game. As a result, both sides had to disregard headsets for the game’s first series. UT held Alabama’s offense to a three-and-out. “It was just amazing,” Kiffin said. “Our kickoff team goes out, everything’s working in pregame and about 10 seconds before the opening kick our headsets just happen to go off — in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Amazing deal. Just like the penalties today. … Everything was great. We tested everything, came out right before kickoff and all of sudden they don’t work. I’ve seen that before and heard of it before. They have happened to come back at the end of the first series. Then all of a sudden they worked, after our defense wasn’t able to get the personnel from upstairs for the whole first series. They happened to come back. It would be just great timing so Coach Saban and their defense would be able to have their headsets.”
“You run another play and you throw an interception or they throw another flag on us — I wasn’t going to let the refs lose the game for us there and some magical flag appear,” Kiffin said. Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen and Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin have been reprimanded by the SEC | GatorSports.com | The Gainesville Sun | Gainesville, FL
And about the penalties … Tennessee was flagged eight times for 68 yards, and Alabama logged one penalty for 10 yards.
“Interesting game that way,” Kiffin said. “We’re the No. 2 team in the country in least penalties out of 120 teams and come down here and have eight enforced penalties and a couple declined, and they have one. We obviously have to do a better job at that when we go on the road in Tuscalooosa.”

It is my belief that the SEC Conference and Mike Slive has simply engaged a big version of the pack instinct..Bammeroids are animals after all..
we have tribes..packs
in packs..tribes… there are always alpha dogs..beta dogs…omega dogs..and the weird outcast (South Carolina), nomadic dogs
“Slive” represents the alpha dog
the rest of us represent the three other versions of “dog”
most being beta..
Mike Slive pretend to be about…taking care of all the others..like a good alpha..and for the most part..they attempt some version of that..BUT…alphas are narcissistic in nature and, of course, taking care of themselves is REALLY number one priority and secret agenda..
As was demonstrated in Bryant-Denny’s stadium on Saturday shows, Slive will do all that is necessary to keep his benefactors in alpha position..right or wrong..good or bad…
if “bad”..
usually it’s a clandestine kind of thing because alpha..though in control of beta, et all..alpha knows that you can “fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of time, but not all of the people all of the time”..so alpha knows..to keep beta, (and the Gas Pumpers) under it’s thumb it has to occasionally appease and constantly confuse beta, et all… because if not…the masses will begin to feel the oppression too much and get angry and unstable, leaving an opening for another potential alpha to come along and to stir up trouble to gain “top dog” position (the suspension of the SEC Officiating Crew comes to mind)
This sums up Mike Slive and his officiating crews and all it does..and human kind.. and any kind of pack animal in general..which Bammeroids..basically are..since most of them freely give up their higher minds and live by their lowest minds..constantly..instinctively attempting to be “alpha dog” in any situation they come across
this pretty much sums up any and all conspiracies..and why they are what they are…
perhaps there is another way..a more right brained kind of way..that on the surface seems crazy and not logical to those still lead around by their left brain and/or their pack instincts, in general..
evolution is a slow process, after all
one at a time
working towards some kind of critical mass.. So to sum up, this small band of schools not named Florida and Alabama, are facing the overwhelming might of recorded history are seeing to triumph against incredible odds?

you’d think a program who has so much experience in the art of losing would have learned to lose like men. act like you’ve been there before. we all know you have.
wow…just, wow. Hey, doesn’t Tennessee play another game this weekend?
