Bill King made a great point..Is Dooley going to win big at Rocky Top? Who knows. He is not a big splash name but neither was Herban Myer in 2001 while he was at Bowling Green. Five years later a national champ at Florida. Who are the next batch of great coaches? They are at small schools or Grad Assistants and/or assistants. Tennessee is banking that Dooley is one of those guys. He said he felt it would take some time (which we all should know) but its a wait and see at this time. You know there are only so many big “name” coaches and they can’t be everywhere. Dooley is getting his chance to prove he is one of those guys. We have to be willing to wait and see ourselves. We agree motherfuckers, yes we do.

LOL @! comparing Dooley with Meyer. Meyer dramatically improved every program he coached. He left with winning records at every program. Dooley? No so much.
That said, Dooley *might* be an improvement over CLuskerfucK
Dooley IS an improvement in every way over Lane Kifin. But he cannot logically be compared to Urban. Gene Chizik is a more logical comparison – and Auburn hired Chizik over Dooley (they both intervewed last year). So Auburn got first pick over UT.

Sharrif was really confused and put a call into Coach Meyer. When they spoke Coach Meyer told him that he had a ‘dream’ the night before, and that Coach Meyer saw himself on the sideline coaching Sharrif. Told him that is was a “message from God that I should come back and coach, as I guess if it’s my time to die, I’d rather die on the sidelines coaching you than anywhere else in the world.
“Sharrif talked to us the next day and said Ohio State is great and all, but Coach Meyer said he would DIE for me. That’s pretty intense. From that day on Sharrif mainly kept to himself. But that was the turning point in my eyes.”
