   One has to take his hat ( or Cat baseball lid if in Ky) off to the magnificent Bruce Pearl. This man can coach Xs and Os like Lane KIffin can lie and cheat; in order words, gold metal category. If Pearl had the 5 starters at KY to work with- well they would be playing in the NBA , cause no college team could stay within 30 points of them. Even with this gang of misfits who can’t make a free throw or a ten foot jumper more than 50% of the time, He produces the stink of fear in the opposition that Right Guard ( not the player) cant begin to neutralize. The man is a GENIUS and that is term I dont use very much. BRUCE IS THE MAN. Hiring Pearl may even prevent Hamilton from being fired ( at least til next football season is under way) . That alone is nothing to be underestimated. So- three cheers for the team and 33 cheers for Coach Pearl. He has proven that he can turn sow ears into silk purses and do it consistently. Coach Cal couldnt win 10 games with the Vol starting 5. Lucky for him- he has talent to waste and he does.

   IF the Vols can’t beat a team that shoots 2 – 22 from the 3pt line…you ain’t gonna win many more games.

   It wasn’t just UT defense…it was UK’s players psyching themselves out…

   No team can win a game when you shoot 9.1% from 3…

   Pearl is a hell of coach though, fwiw.

   If beating UK is like beating Florida, then what happened to the Vols last week?

   And what would the Vols do if they ever made it out of the sweet 16?

    Just for my education and enlightenment , when was the last time a team beat both the #1 & #2 ranked teams in the same year? Beating Ky and KU should, should mean we have enough power this year to at fucking least – make the elite 8. This has been an usual year : just the year to surprise all these inbred Cat fans by outlasting them in the Big Dance. Praise Gawd! Let it happen.
