Dooley has enough talent to win the SEC East. We are more than able to compete with any SEC team.We win here at Knoxville we don’t make excuses like the Gas Pumpers.
The real problem is whatever fool is putting our schedule together – when you have to gear up for non-league powerhouses like UAB, Memphis (didn’t expect to see coach cal on the sideline), and Tennessee Martin, it will be no wonder the boys will be spent when it comes time for our weekly field goal attempts against SEC teams – by the way, can anyone define an “offensive touchdown? Is that when an offensive player, wearing our colors, crosses the goalline in possession of the ball scoring twice as much as one of our beloved field goals? It”s tough to grow gonads in your 40′s!!!!!!!!!!

This is exactly what happened to Bill Battle. Battle was criticized so much it cost him 4-6 top prospects a year,so each year his team got weaker. Fulmer’s last 5 years we competed head to head with Duke, Colgate, and Memphis instead of Bama, Southern Cal and Notre Dame. The loose lips and message board flaming is HARMING TENNESSEE immensely. Already cost Tennessee some blue chip prospects like Eric McClain, a life long Vols fan. Gone to Clemson. Why? “Miscommunication” by this staff created by the friction of message boards, turncoat fans and rogue high school football coaches.
Perception is important. Dooley is like Bill Battle in that he will expect no less than your best, be a model citizen and graduate. He will relax and you will love him. It is hard for a coach with his exceptions to win at a school like Louisiana Tech that takes misfits.
True Vol fans will get behind Dooley and he will bring in the players to win championships. How good is he? He lasted longer with Nick Saban who is very demanding more so than any other coach .
Seeing Dooley on the sideline makes me feel like we made a carbon copy of Saban and placed him on the sidelines. Replete with the perfect coif too. A different kind of Coif. Not feathered angel wing bangs like Saban, but a thick lustrous mane of man hair. Poofy.
I guarantee you that the top recruits in the country can see this too and they will want to play at Tennessee because we do a coach with great hair and as bonus, he is rumored to be an asshole too!!

The glory days are far from behind us. If this fan base with get on board with Dooley, Wilcox, Thompson and Chaney, and quit making up retarded nicknames and playing down recruiting, we’d be better off. If I recall, this time last year only Jacques Smith was committed… Hardly time to panic.
Dooley is always ensuring that we are a contender and I will never forget sitting in the swamp in Gainesville saying I layed chalk on the Vols and all those gators thought I was crazy until they looked at the score board at half time!
