Coach Dooley is, by a country  mile, the smartest Head Coach we have had at UT since General Neyland. He is not only well educated, but more importantly he is a learned man. He is articulate and well spoken and has a dry witty sense of humor. He studied under the coach who is considered the best in college football during this era. He was recruiting coordinator for two top three classes while at LSU. He was named the fourth best recruiter in the country. Had he stayed with Saban when he took over at Alabama (minus the NFL Fail at Miami), Coach Dooley would have been the hottest coaching commodity in the country in January.

IMO, he has hired a very impressive staff. They are men who can not only teach the different positions in which they specialize, but appear to be pretty impressive recruiters as well. We not only seem to be in good position for some top players at positions of need, but we also seem to be the leader for a top notch quarterback. How long did it take Kiffin to find us a quarterback? (Admittedly, when he did find us one, he was a good one).

I am very excited about our prospects this year. Our defense showed flashes of being scarry good during the O&W game. Add in Parade AA Kicker Mike Palardy and the potential for improvement from the Offensive Line and I think we will surprise a lot of teams (not to mention fans) who are now counting us in their W column.
