Is 6th in the SEC really that big of deal? The SEC is a great conference, and 6th in the league is nothing to sneeze at. Dooley has done a spectacular job in every facet of coaching up until this point.
Glad to see that a “reporter” of an opposing school’s daily rag (that only started playing football in 1990) has this much time to ridicule a classy coach and tradition laden University like Tennessee.
We must protect our house! give Dooley a raise! here is the slander:
6. Tennessee: Great facilities, maybe the best in the league with their indoor practice facility. But ticket sales are down, and three coaches in three years is hardly stable.

I cant believe that it has come to this! UT is ranked 6th in SEC and the fans/supporters are ok with that. I knew things were bad but I never realized they were this bad. Middle of the pack is not ok for a school/team like UT, not now, not ever! The day UT fans and supporters become satisfied with mediocrity (6th) is the day UT should just hang it up and concentrate on basketball. The SEC is a lot better conference when UT is rolling and on top of their game. UT has a rich tradition with incredible fans and I hope they can get it together soon. The third saturday in October needs to get back to being the battle it was in years past, the day everyone marked on their calendar. I hope Dooley can do it, but I have my doubts.
I’m not happy with being rated 6th either! I was thinking at least 3rd or 4th? After all, we did place 2nd in the east last year and we came very close to beating the Bammeroids! However, we have to look at this and who rated it. It’s not that big of a deal and we’re building the team right now. I have full confidence in our team and Dooley. He’s a complete 180 from what the previous coach and not to mention that Dooley held on to a top recruiting class. I will always give my all for Tennessee, and I have the patience for the rebuilding that’s taking place. Patience my friends…patience! ~Go Vols~
