Maybe Lane Kiffin and Ed Orgeron should worry more about what USC recruits and current players want out of USC this weekend than talking about Tennessee’s athletic program and an ace recruiter (Lance Thompson). Either get a life or get an Vols shirt.
Transfer DE Malik Jackson tells Josh Ward of the Knoxville News-Sentinel that he believes more of his former USC teammates will elect to flee Troy — although he declined to give any names — and that he would be willing to help his new school recruit them.
“If Tennessee needed them I’d kind of talk to them,” Jackson said, “because it’d be nice to have an SC friend over where you are so you’re not all alone.”
ESPN The Magazine’s Bruce Feldman wrote on Tuesday that several weeks ago, Tennessee faxed a list of every Trojans junior and senior to USC’s compliance office to in essence notify the school that the Vols would make a play for all of them. With one in the bag and fall camp a month away, we imagine that the wait won’t be long if any more plan to follow Jackson to Knoxville.
