I want to provide a glimpse of how some fans really set themselves apart in a sea of houndstooth, denim, crimson & white. It doesn’t involve elaborate Game Day plans, large scholarship donations, or face time with Bama Legends like Kenny Stabler, or John Parker Wilson. No, this exciting new way to show your love of all things Bama involves the intersection of crimson tide football and a solemn religious ceremony.
The wedding ceremony to take place at pseudo mockup of Bryant-Denny’s, the bride, as you can imagine, immediately wore a perfect dress. She finally found a suitable gown replete with a Scarlet Letter emblazoned on her heaving bosom. To add to the authenticity, in a solemn tribute to the holiest of all coaches: Bear Bryant, the groom made sure to drink a bottle of George Dickel immediately prior to the ceremony.
The bridesmaid dress was a lovely shade of Crimson that simulated the crimson tide rolling when she walked down the aisle.
The groom also paid homage to Alabama’s newest coaching tradition. Out of respect for Coach Nick Saban, the groom sported a haircut with feathered angel-wing bangs and a fresh leather concho belt from Goody’s.
The couple left underneath a flurry of crimson and white shakers with the glorious Bama mascot “Big AL” providing vigorous high 5′s to the couple, completing this romantic event.
The Bama Nation is certainly must be encouraged by these beautiful acts of combining sacred religious rites with Alabama football tradition. Such acts will surely contribute to Coach Saban’s ability to energize his loyal fan base, and win Bama’s 19th national championship.
